Social media has changed the way individuals and groups of individuals interact with one another. We are constantly exposed to carefully curated news feeds and perceived lavished lifestyles on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. This bombardment of information can often create unrealistic expectations of health, beauty and lifestyle and it has said to be a large contributor to the rise of social anxiety in young people. Young millennial's are brought up in a world where people's lives are exhibited online, making us constantly aware of how we are perceived by others.
I created this illustration with the purpose that it could be made available, free to followers, as a downloadable smart-phone or computer wallpaper. The intention was that it could be accessed by a larger pool of people to serve as a daily reminder of self-worth on a platform that is used frequently.
